My travels brought me across this trinity of woodland chapels, two constructed by architect E. Fay Jones, Frank Lloyd Wright’s apprentice, and the other by Jones’ students Maurice Jennings and David McKee.
Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs is one of the few buildings less than 50 years old on the National Register of Historic Places.

Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel in Bella Vista has 15 50-foot tall arches, with 3 or 4 gothic arches inside each one.

Anthony Chapel At Garvan Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs was designed by Jones’s successors. Its nearly 10,000 sq. ft. of glass are supported by yellow pine and native stone.

Individually, they’re stunning. Together, they’re nothing short of miraculous.
